PURPOSE:To reduce the insertion loss of a filter and to widen the variable range of the resonance frequency by providing a throughhole to a dielectric resonator and putting in and out of the throughhole to change the resonance frequency. CONSTITUTION:A throughhole 7 is provided to a dielectric resonator 6, which is arranged and fixed in a cut-off waveguide 2 via a spacer 3. Moreover, a throughhole 13is provided to a metallic wall 12 just above the thorughhole 7 and a cylindrical dielectric part 8 is fixed to the tip of a metal-made thread 5 of the same pitch via a spacer 9. The dielectric 8 has the dimensions and shape equal to the throughhole 7 and the thickness of the spacer 9 is made equal to the gap between the metallic wall 12 and the resonator 6. Then the resonance frequency is changed by changing the shape of the resonator 6 and the range of the change in the resonance frequency is widened by placing he tip of the screw 5 onto the same plane as the metallic wall 12 and deterioration of no load Q is less.
