NEW MATERIAL:9-Fluoro-3-methyl-10-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-7-oxo-2,3-dihy dro-7H-pyrido[1,2,3,-de][1,4]benzoxazine-6-carboxylic acid and a salt thereof. USE:With powerful antimicrobial action on Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and useful as a medicine. PREPARATION:9,10-Difluoro-3-methyl-7-oxo-2,3-dihydro-7H-pyrido[1,2,3-d e][1,4] benzoxazine-6-carboxylic acid and N-methylpiperazine are heated in a polar solvent, e.g. dimethyl sulfoxide, sulfolane or water, at room temperature - 200 deg.C, preferably 70-150 deg.C to afford the aimed novel compound. |
