PURPOSE:To sufficiently straighten not only the center buckle but also the edge wave by interposing the plate shiftable in the width direction of a material between the beam bendable in the upper and lower directions which supports a leveling roll and its backup roller, and the frame which supports it. CONSTITUTION:The plate 2 which can shift in the width direction of a steel plate P with a shifting device is provided on a fixed frame 1 and the beam 4 bent in the upper and lower directions with the hydraulic cylinder 3 provided at both sides of the frame 1 is provided thereon. The leveling roller 6 made supportable by the backup roller 5 which is divided in the axial line direction is fitted thereon in plural sets in the progressing direction of the steel plate P. Similar plate 9 is provided on the frame 8 which is ascended and descended by a rolling reduction screw 7 as well. In this way the steel plate P is passed between rollers 6, 13 by shifting plates 2, 9 to the opposing direction each other in the width direction of the steel plate P, in case of straightening the edge wave of the steel plate P for instance.
