PURPOSE:To permit blooming of a high Ni alloy ingot by specifying a rolling temp. and executing blooming under rolling conditions under which deformation resistance is kept in the range expressed by the specific equation. CONSTITUTION:The high Ni alloy ingot is heated for >=5hr at >=1,200 deg.C. The ingot is then bloomed by using flat rolls at <=1,250 deg.C rolling temp. and under the rolling conditions under which the deformation resistance K kg/mm<2> at said rolling temp. is kept in the range expressed by the equation. In the equation, P is the max. rolling load kg of a blooming mill, b is the width mm of the ingot, R is the radium mm of the roll, h1 is the thickness mm of the ingot prior to rolling, h2 is the thickness mm of the ingot after rolling and r is a reduction ratio.
