PURPOSE:To restrain the occurrence of a succeeding slip and prevent hunting in control by restraining a slip earlier through the quick reduction of a drive force at the time of the occurrence of a slip due to an excessive drive force and then gradually recovering the force. CONSTITUTION:Each means 1 and 2 detects the number of revolutions of driving and driven wheels. Also, a slip ratio between a tire and a road surface is operated on a means 3. Furthermore, a means 4 compares said slip ratio with a set value. And when the slip ratio has been found larger than the set value, a means 5 is operated to reduce a drive force. Thereafter, when the slip ratio has dropped below the set value, the drive force is restored at less speed than the speed of the aforesaid reduction. The repetition of drive force reduction and recovery is thereby prevented and the occurrence of a succeeding slip is restrained. Consequently, hunting in control and deterioration in drivability can be prevented.
