PURPOSE:To record a graphic data simply in a comparable way by specifying and recording the object shape based on the length of a line segment tying each feature point on a line representing the object shape and the gravity center of the shape and the angle of line segments between adjacent feature points. CONSTITUTION:A figure exists, where lots of feature points P1, P2... are tied by a straight line or a curve and let the gravity center of the figure be at a point G, then the feature points consist of apexes on lines representing the object shape, folded points, points on a circular arc taken at an optional interval and other significant point groups. Then the object shape Pk is expressed as Pk={ri, thetai}, where (ri) is the length of the line segments tying the feature points and the gravity center G of the figure and thetai is an angle between line segments between adjacent feature points, that is, a viewing angle as to line segments tying the gravity center G and the adjacent feature points and i=1, 2.... Thus, the pattern matching is executed very easily. |
