The detergent contains highly swellable sheet silicates combined with disalts of alpha-sulphonated fatty acids and/or surfactants of the classes of fatty alcohol sulphates, alkyl glycosides, fatty acid alkanolamides and/or ether amines. The textiles treated with this detergent and dried are simultaneously cleaned and softened, especially when the detergents contain no non-ionic surfactants.
