ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY HAVING CONDUCTIVE BASE BODY SUBJECTED TO SURFACE ROUGHENING

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of uneven interference fringes without providing an under coating layer having a light diffuse reflective surface by roughening the surface of a conductive base body so as to have <=50% surface gloss. CONSTITUTION:An incident ray I1 in the image exposing stage generates reflected light R1 on the surface of a photosensitive layer 2 when a rough surface 3 is formed on the surface of the conductive base body 1 when a laser beam is irradiated as coherent light to an electrophotographic sensitive body. On the other hand, said way transmits the inside of the photosensitive layer 2 as transmitted light I2 and generates the diffuse reflected light R3 on the surface of the rough surface 3 to suppress the interference between the reflected light R1 and the diffuse reflected light R3 to the extent of eliminating the interference fringes produced in the image forming stage. The surface glass of the conductive base body forming the rough surface 3 is measured in accordance with a method 7 of a method for measuring contrast surface glass specified in JIS Z 8741 and the surface gloss Gc is kept at <=50%, by which the adequate diffuse reflection is obtd. on the rough surface 3 and the interference of the reflected light R1 and the diffuse reflected light R3 is suppressed.
