PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-function personal word processor capable of being miniaturized by assembling all control elements to one main body control board. CONSTITUTION:The rear side of keyboards 2, 3 of a main body case 1 is provided with the main body control board 18 and a memory card 20 being an external storage device. The main control board 18 is provided with the keyboards 2, 3, a display device 5, an image scanner 8 and a control section for a printer 9 or the like to attain one board structure. Then the main body control board 18 is provided with a microcomputer 22 controlling the entire multi-function personal word processor, a control element 23a for a speaker 23, a control element 9a for a printer 9, a ROM 24 for system program, a RAM 25 for temporary storage, a control element 26a for an I/O 26 connecting a communication MODEM or the like, control elements 2a for keyboards 2, 3, a control element 6a for a display device 6 and a control element 8a for the image scanner 8.
