The screw connection between a boring tool and its adaptor, the tool and the adaptor each having a thread, is distinguished by the fact that the two threads (3A, 3B) of adaptor (1) and tool (2) are connected by a threaded stem (3) with two different threads (G1, G2) offset from one another and corresponding in each case to the adaptor and the tool, and that the adaptor and the tool each have a recess (N1, N2), for accommodating a common driver piece, and a driver piece (5) orientated thereto. Consequently, on the one hand, the cutting forces no longer act on the screw connection when working with the boring bar and, on the other hand, the requisite applied pressure between adaptor and tool can be produced. The connection can easily be released after use of the boring tool. <IMAGE>
