PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition which hardly suffers settling of additives or hardly causes seizure, by mixing a base oil, a hydrated magnesium silicate clay mineral, S, P, and a solid lubricant. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. base oil (A) which comprises a mineral oil or is composed mainly of a mineral oil with a synthetic oil, a thickening agent, etc. incorporated therein is mixed with 0.1-10pts.wt. hydrated magnesium silicate clay mineral (B) (e.g., sepiolite) having a length of 10mum or less and an aspect ratio of 100 or less, 1-5pts.wt. S or sulfur compound (C) (e.g., a mono- or disulfide), 0.01-0.5pt.wt. P or phosphorus compound (D) (e.g., zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate) and, if necessary, 0.1-5pts.wt. solid lubricant (E) (e.g., MoS2). |
