<p>PURPOSE:To provide possibility of feeding the fuel even at a lower fuel level by fitting a damper casing, equipped at its bottom with a fuel passage, in a casing for a fuel filter, which is mounted at the suction hole of a fuel pump installed in a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:A fuel filter installed in horizontal position at the bottom of a fuel tank 22 includes a cylindrical filter casing 11, a cup-shaped damper casing 12 fitted therein, and a lid 13. The filter casing 11 is provided at its two ends with a ring-shaped rib 141 and a rod-shaped rib 142 connecting them, and thereto filter meshes 151, 152 are fixed unitedly. The damper casing 12 is installed through nipping of its opening part flange 121 by said lid 13 and rib 141, and at the bottom a communication port 18 is provided in communication with filter inner 16 and damper chamber 17. The lid 13 has at the bottom an elbow- shaped joint part 19 in the form of rising, to allow jointing of a suction port 21 of fuel pump 20.</p> |
