PURPOSE:To attain rapid focusing detection by setting up the gain values of amplifiers at their maximums at the starting of focus detection. CONSTITUTION:When a signal outputted from a switch 26 is inputted to an arithmetic processing circuit 12, the circuit 12 sends a signal to gain setting circuits 24a, 24b to maximize the gain of amplifiers 20a, 20b. Namely, the gain values of the amplifiers 20a, 20b are set up to 64 times at the starting of focusing detection. Since the focusing detection is started from the maximum gain values, focusing detection can be stably executed within a short period. |
