PURPOSE:To make the incident index signal from a face to a sensor uniform along the all face surface, by furnishing a focusing curved surface mirror and a light receiving sensor at the focusing position at the periphery in front of a bulb face. CONSTITUTION:The index signals of a color cathode-ray tube 19, which has a phosphor film 20 with phosphor stripes R, G, and B, and index phosphor stripes I furnished, are picked up from the front side of a bulb face 19a. In this case, at the position the index signals are projected in, a focusing curved mirror 22 is arranged, and a light receiving sensor 23 is furnished at the focusing position of the mirror 22. The index signals produced at the longest point E is focused by the curved mirror 22 to project to the sensor 23. Therefore, the incident signals to the sensor are made uniform along the all face 19a, and the even and stable color reproduction is realized.
