PURPOSE:To record a data simply in a comparable way by specifying and recording the data based on a vector (ri) defining line segments between apexes in a plane figure, the length Si of the line segment in the plane graphic, an angle thetai with a reference line. CONSTITUTION:The graphic figure exists, where lots of apexes P1, P2,... are tied by line segments and let the gravity center of the figure be a point G. Taking the vector (ri) defining the line segments between the apexes into account,the magnitude of the component of the vector (ri) is the length of the line segment Si, the direction of the vector (ri) is taken as an angle thetai between the perpendicular line from the gravity center of the figure and the line segment and a reference line R.L passing through the gravity center and the plane graphic Pk is expressed as Pk={ri}={Si,thetai} by using the vector of each line segment. Thus, pattern matching or the like is facilitated.
