PURPOSE:To use efficiently a DASD space by requesting a loading from a job to an operating system OS by a program which comes to be necessary while the job is traveling and loading the program requested from DASD by the OS. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to a program name 11 evacuated to a magnetic tape 5, an evacuated magnetic tape volume serial number 12, an evacuated date 13 and a size 14 of a program are recorded. An OS 1, when the program, to which a loading request is executed from a job 6, does not exist on a DASD 2, investigates a program control table 8, when an equivalent program name 11 exists, reads a magnetic tape volume serial number 12, informs an above- mentioned displaying device 4 of a magnetic tape 4 necessary to an operator by the method such as displaying and accelerates to mount it to a magnetic tape device 3. Thus, without interrupting the execution of the job, the DASD 2 can be efficiently used.
