PURPOSE:To avoid descent, ascent and drops and shocks associated with the descent and ascent at a deflecting position for articles to be conveyed, by providing at least a pair of conical rollers for moving and returning trapezoidal pans. CONSTITUTION:Dust conveyed by an outgoing conveyer 22 is shifted onto the upper surface 2a of a conveyer body 2 formed of endless trapezoidal pans 4 at the inlet 2a of the conveyer body 2. Since roller 6B on the outlet side is rotated, the endless trapezoidal pans 4 which are meshed with the drive roller 6B and a driven roller, are moved while their upper surfaces are pulled in the direction of the arrow 13. The pans 4 are successively moved down at the position of the roller 6B and are returned. Therefore, they are successively moved up at the position of the roller 6A and then carry thereon dust toward the outlet 2B while they form the horizontal surface. As a result the substance to be conveyed may be smoothly U-turned in a horizontal plane, and is then shifted onto a return conveyer 23 laying in the same level as that of the out-going conveyer 22.
