PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance management of the optical head and to improve its productivity by unitizing a light source including peripheral optical elements and positioning and fixing the light source unit to the optical head body. CONSTITUTION:In the optical head having a light source 2, a pickup lens 14, a sensor lens 18 and optical sensors 28 and 30, the light source unit which is fitting the light source 2 and at least one optical element onto a substrate, is detachably positioned and fitted to the optical head body. The light source and the optical elements in the light source unit are composed so that they can positioned and adjusted to the positioning part for fitting an optical source unit substrate 7 to the optical head 11. The light source 2 is emitted from the semiconductor laser, and the LD unit is independently assembled and adjusted, and fitted to the head proper frame 11 by a mechanical means. Thus, the maintenance management of the optical head becomes easy, and not only its serviceability but also its productivity are improved. |
