<p>Device for setting the operating point of a tool in relation to a reference point in an NC machine tool, provided with a tool slide system, a position-measuring system linked with a machine control for the tool slide movement, as well as with a control sensor for emitting a correction signal to the machine control. The control sensor can be brought into the reference point which can be attained and over-ridden by the tip of the tool by a programme indication starting from a tool slide starting point. The tool slide starting point and the reference point are at a preset distance from one another, and the machine control can calculate distances of the tip of the workpiece from the tool slide starting point by using reference distances which can be determined by the machine control on the basis of the correction signal and of position-measurement signals from the position-measuring system. For rapid measurement of a tool at virtually any location of the operating region of the machine tool, the control sensor is brought to a second tool slide system also equipped with a position-measuring system, and its sensing point, starting from a control sensor slide starting point, is brought to the reference point, whereby both starting points are at a preset distance from one another.</p> |
