PURPOSE:To attain to enhance the reliability to the analytical result of information, by reading specimen information over the entire area of an accumulative phosphor sheet by an array type beam source. CONSTITUTION:The exciting beam from each beam source of an array type beam source 1 is projected to an accumulative phosphor sheet 5, on which a nucleic acid or protein specimen labelled with a radioactive marker was separated and developed, through a lens 3. The fluorescence from an exhaustive phosphor due to the projection of exciting beam is received by a photomultiplier tube 12 and photoelectrically converted to read specimen information. Subsequently, the exciting beam projecting position on the sheet 5 and a reading optical system 11 are moved to an X-direction and a Y-direction to perform the reading and scanning of specimen information continuously. By this reading and scanning of specimen information over the entire area of the sheet 5, the reliability to the analytical result of information can be enhanced.
