PURPOSE:To constitute a stable magnetic gap, and to obtain that of a high reliability by forming a non-magnetic metallic film and a low melting point glass film on an operating gap butting surface, and packing the glass of the same kind of the glass film. CONSTITUTION:Non-magnetic metallic films 22, 22' having a good wettability to each glass are formed on an operating gap butting surface, low melting point glass films 23, 23' are formed on these metallic films 22, 22', and also, on at least one operating gap butting surface, a reinforcing material packing groove 27 is provided by depth which reaches high magnetic permeability ferrite 20, 20' by being separated from a coil winding groove 26, and cutting a part of metallic magnetic materials 21, 21'. This packing groove 27 is packed with glass 28, 28' and 29 of the same kind of the glass films 23, 23', and by these glass 28, 28' and 29, and the glass films 23, 23', magnetic core half bodies 30, 30' are welded to each other. In this way, in a magnetic head which has used the metallic magnetic materials 21, 21', a stable magnetic gap is constituted, and that of a high reliability having a sufficient adhesion strength is obtained.
