For monitoring the performance of an optically observable process, photographs are continually taken by a picture recording unit, and a computer-controlled comparison is made with theoretical images, called up from an image memory, of the perfect performance of the process. If deviations are noted between the photographs and the images in respect of certain criteria which can be programmed in the computer, signals are automatically produced to indicate errors and/or to call for invention in the performance of the process.
|
