<p>An electric connector for insulated cables with a two-part insulating housing. In the bottom part (1) of the housing are located several rows of contacts (4). Each such row of contacts has at least two cutting terminals (5) with different terminal dimensions for receiving cables and with different conductor cross-sections. Cable holders are arranged on both sides of each cutting terminal (5), and are provided with clamping pieces for firmly securing the cables before contact is made in a contact row with several cutting terminals (5). The cutting terminals with the large dimensions are arranged at the beginning of the row of contacts and those with the small dimensions at the end. The arrangement in a single row (4) of contacts of, for example, three cutting terminals (5) of different dimensions makes it possible to ensure the contact of, for example, cables having diameters of between 0.5 and 6 mm with one and the same connector. This provides a very economic production method.</p> |
