Cardboard-sandwich plasterboard and process for its manufacture, in which hardwood chips (hardwood particles) are added as supplements to the plaster core of hemihydrate and water, these leading to a substantial increase in the Brinell hardness, the compressive strength and the resistance to pulverisation of the cardboard-sandwich plasterboard.
