PURPOSE:A remedy composition, containing decoctions of Macleaya cordata and Isodon trichocarpus Kudo and useful for treating senile pruritus, atopic dermatitis, etc. CONSTITUTION:A remedy for itching dermatopathy containing decoctions of Maleaya cordata and Isodon trichocarpus Kudo. The individual above-mentioned decoctions are not respectively ineffective and the sole decoction of the Maleaya cordata may cause rather contact dermatitis in reverse in some cases. The composition consisting of the decoctions of both plants is very effective for treating itching dermatopathy, e.g. senile pruritus, cold urticaria, keratosis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, etc. Any parts of the plants may be used. Although both plants grow wild, cultivation thereof is readily carried out. After drying and cutting the collected plant bodies, 1pt.wt. Macleaya cordata is charged into about 4pts.wt. water and boiled. The Isodon trichocarpus Kudo of the same weight as the Coleaya cordata used is charged into the water in the end of boiling and the decoctions is allowed to cool while mixing and stirring. The cooled decoctions are filtered to afford the aimed composition. |
