PURPOSE:To eliminate the encroaching of a warmed-up rubber by rolls and consequently reduce the failure due to the air carried n the rubber by a method wherein a band-shaped warmed-up rubber is swung relative to a feed conveyer in the direction normal to the feeding direction of the conveyor by the width corresponding to the width of a calender roll. CONSTITUTION:First, a cut-out band-shaped warmed-up rubber 23 is sent onto a carrying conveyer 24 and then dropped onto a feed conveyer 26 through a tubular pendulum 28, which is swung in the direction normal to the feeding direction of a feed conveyer 26 so as to reciprocate the band-shaped warmed-up rubber 23 delivered from the carrying conveyer 24 in the width direction of the feed conveyer 26 in order to lay the warmed-up rubber 23 dropped onto the feed conveyer 26 in a zigzag line on the conveyer 26. Accordingly, the warmed-up rubber 23 is supplied thoroughly and uniformly on calender rolls 12 and 14 over the whole widths of the rolls. Consequently, the carrying of air in the rubber is reduced and the failure due to the air carried in the rubber is reduced to a far greater extent. |
