A graphite armature (11) forms a sealed structure housed together with an inductor (13) inside the housing (12), and defines a reaction chamber connected outside the housing to reactive gas supply means. The housing (12) is supplied with inert gas to permanently maintain an inert gas circulation in the space surrounding the armature inside the housing, and the discharge of reaction products out of the reaction chamber (15) and inert gas out of the housing is effected by means of respective discharge lines (19a, 19b) which meet outside the housing so that substantially equal pressures are maintained in the housing inside and outside the reaction chamber (15).
