PURPOSE:To prepare a decorative material of which the gloss is made to be easily constant, by mounting a scratch resistant layer comprising a crosslinked cured film provided along minute unevenness to the matte surface of a matted base material. CONSTITUTION:Minute unevenness 2 of 1-15mum is provided to a plastic film base material such as a polyethylene terephthalate film or a polyethylene film to form a matte surface. Ionizing radiation curable paint comprising unsaturate polyester, polyether acrylate, polyester acrylate or epoxy acrylate is applied to the base material 1 along the minute unevenness 2' of the matte surface by a plate coating method or a gravure coating method. Subsequently, the coating layer is irradiated with electron beam or ultraviolet rays and cured to form a crosslinked cured film 3. By this method, matted material excellent in scratch resistance and adjustable to constant gloss can be obtained.
