PURPOSE:To share one printer with plural users and to print data without errors by storing printed data different from data which is currently being printed in a disk device, reading and printing said data after said printing is completed if printed data of other users are signalled during printing the data concerned. CONSTITUTION:At some point a user signals an OPEN command to a virtual printer PRN1, and a printing part 1 is made empty. Then the signaled printed data is directly transmitted to the printing part 1 so as to print. When a user signals the OPEN command to a virtual printer PRN2, the signaled printed data is provisionally stored in a disk device 4 as a printed data file because the virtual printer PRN1 is printing at that time. The moment the virtual printer PRN1 ends its printing the printed data file is read, and its contents are signaled to an actual printer PRN, thereby printing data.
