Therefore, by performing the arithmetic operation of the difference between the image pickup picture signals S1 and S2, a bit of picture information corresponding to the highlight area due to natural light or reflected light, etc., which are impossible to be separated independently by the filter 2a or 2b is eliminated. And a picture signal S3 that is corresponded only to the color of the object fruit A can be obtained.
