A method for reducing and/or preventing injector fouling in a multiport electronically-controlled fuel injection means is described. The method comprises delivering to the fuel injection means a fuel (e.g., gasoline or diesel fuel) comprised of an effective amount of one or more particularly described amino oxides, such as bis (2-hydroxyethyl) cocoamine oxide.
