PURPOSE:To make repeat of fixing and observation unnecessary and to grasp average properties of water to be examined in short-time observation by moving an expanding means and an image pick up means two-dimensionally along a fixed surface of the water to be examined. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 7 drives a plunger 2 to the cover glass side to fix a liquid passing part 1 between the plunger 2 and a transparent glass 8 and an illuminating light is led by an optical fiber 6, the water to be examined is projected by a condenser lens 5, and the image is expanded by a means 12 consisting of an objective lens 9 and an eyepiece lens 11. A stage 17 on which a television camera 13 and the expanding means 12 are placed is driven by a motor 15 to perform the observation in the X-axis direction, and a stage 20 on which a base to which the state 17 is attached is placed is driven by a motor 18 to perform the observation in the Y-axis direction, thereby performing fine observation throughout a wide range in a short time.
