PURPOSE:To simultaneously improve color reproducibility and sharpness by adding specified 2 kinds of dyes to the same layer or separate layers of a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:To the same layer or separate layers of a photographic sensitive material are simultaneously added 2 kinds of dyes represented by formulaI(where each of R1 and R2 is NH2, OH or alkoxy, each of X1 and X2 is -COO<->M<+> or -SO3<->M<+> is a cation) and by formula II [where R3 is OH, (substituted) alkoxy, (substituted) amino or cyclic amino, the substituent of the alkoxyl group is halogen, OCH3 or the like, the substituent of the amino group is 1-4C alkyl or the like, R4 is H, alkyl or halogen, and Q is sulfo, sulfoalkyl, carboxy-substituted aryl or aralkyl, or sulfo- or carboxy-substituted alkyl]. Especially, the dyes are added to the intermedite layer between the red sensitive emulsion layer and the green sensitive emulsion layer. Thus, an image with less mixing of red and blue, high green color reproducilibity and high sharpness is obtd. without reducing the density of the cyan image and that of the yellow image. |
