PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for other equipments for program matching by giving a line number to a terminal equipment for private line and providing a line changeover section having a timing control circuit and a selection circuit. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer sends dial information of the terminal equipment for private line and outputs a terminal ready signal ER just after the transmission of an EOC (line number end) code is finished. When the line changeover section confirms the terminal ready signal ER, the supervisory timer is stopped and reset and a gate signal G1 is outputted. Thus, the line numbers stored in the 2nd and 3rd registers R2, R3 are inputted respectively to a transmission data selection circuit 13, a reception data selection circuit 14 and a carrier detection data selection circuit 15 to connect a prescribed private line and the personal computer and the communication between the personal computer and a prescribed equipment among the private line terminal equipments is executed.
