PURPOSE:To sufficiently enhance the reception inhibiting function by narrowing the width of a frequency shift of a minute adjusting means when the adjacent channel of a reception channel is set to the output inhibition mode at the channel selection so as to inhibit the watching of the broadcast program of the inhibited channel. CONSTITUTION:In a reception inhibiting function to set a prescribed channel as the object of the reception inhibition, an identification signal representing the reception inhibition channel corresponding to the prescribed channel is stored in a nonvolatile memory 50. In depressing a fine tuning key 166, the center frequency of the turning is deviated. In depressing an up-key 161, whether or not the adjacent channel is inhibited for the reception in the direction to increase the frequency is discriminated based on an identification signal stored in the memory 50 and when the reception is inhibited, the deviation DELTAf is narrowed. On the other hand, in depressing a down-key 162, whether or not the adjacent channel is inhibited for the reception in the direction lowering the frequency is discriminated based on the identification signal stored in the memory 50 and when the reception is inhibited, the deviation DELTAf is narrowed.
