ATTACHING AND DETACHING DEVICE FOR IC FOR AGING

PURPOSE:To demount and mount ICs by one machine simultaneously by driving an IC inserting head and an IC extracting head which are mounted on an X- axial reciprocating base reciprocally in a Z-axial direction and also feeding a substrate for aging horizontally in an X and a Y direction at pitch. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 5 for aging is fed in a horizontal plane at pitch to set an IC 8a after aging at reference positions (y) and (y) and the moving base 1 is moved to the leftmost end of the range of a stroke L to set the extracting head 3 at reference positions (y) and (y) opposite the IC 8a. Then, the inserting head 2 is moved up and down to grip an unaged IC 8b and the extracting head 3 is moved up and down to grip the IC 8a. Then, the moving base 1 is moved to right by the stroke L, and the inserting head 2 is moved up and down to insert and mount the IC 8b on the substrate 5 and the extracting head 3 is moved up and down to pass the IC 8a to a carry-out station 7. Then, the base is moved to left by the stroke L to finish one-cycle operation.
