PURPOSE:To utilize incident light for another purpose at the same time by arranging a plate type photodetecting element at part of a plate type transparent member. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting element 2 is arranged on the plate type transparent member 1 so that light passes through part of the member. Consequently, this device is only placed in an optical path to perform photodetection, and while part of the incident light is used directly for another purpose, no extra optical component is used, so optical equipment is reduced in size.
