PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for imparting flavor and taste similar to abalone and sea urchin, by distilling a marine algae belonging to Dictyotaceae family, Dictyotales order, Phaeophyceae class, Phaeophyta division and using one or more kinds of distillation produce as active components. CONSTITUTION:A marine algae belonging to Dictyotaceae family, Dictyotales order, Phaeophyceae class, Phaephyta division is distilled or made to contact with an organic solvent and the distillate and/or extract are used as active components of the objective agent for imparting flavor and taste similar to abalone and sea urchin. Furthermore, an agent for promoting flavor and taste similar to abalone and sea urchin can be prepared by adding a distillate or extract derived from a marine algae other than Dictyotaceae family to a distillate or extract of the above marine algae belonging to Dictyotaceae family. |
