发明名称 CUTTING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TOP PORTION OF STEEL CHIP
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a steel chip having a fixed and desired segregation class by detecting the depth X of a mechanical pipe formed at the top portion of the steel chip then multiplying by a cutaway quantity factor (k) and operating a distance Y=k.X, thereafter cutting the top portion of the steel chip into said length Y. CONSTITUTION:A cutting device 13 having a nozzle 13a for gas cutting is arranged on a gate type truck 21 and moved in the longitudinal direction of a steel chip 1. The depth X of a mechanical pipe 2 is operated by means of a pipe depth detector 11 associated with a supersonic sensor,then multiplied by a cutaway quantity factor (k) to provide a cutting length Y. Thereafter, a cutting device moving apparatus 14 is moved so as to cut the steel chip 1 into said length Y. Since the factor (k) is determined on the basis of the occurring frequency of the concentrated segregation for each type of steel and the desired segregation class, a desired steel chip can be obtained on the basis of said length Y=k.X.
