PURPOSE:To be able to utilize for various uses such as heat sources of cooking, space heating, drying, baking, sauna bath etc. by placing a far infrared by emitting plate in an opening part of a main body at which inner wall a frame supporting the peripheral part and bottom plate of a catalytic heating element is fixed with several stays. CONSTITUTION:A catalytic heating element 2 is a heating element carrying out catalytic action which absorbs oxygen in air and aids burning, and is made of heat-resisting material with permeability such as rock wool etc. impregnated with platinum group or other catalytic material and its shape is put in order by reinforcing material etc. as the need arises. The central art 8 of the element 2 is wound in to concave and convex shapes to increase a surface area and enlarge a radiation area. At the suitable location of a bottom plate 5 a through hole is placed and at this hole a gas jet part 10 directed to the closed space 4 of the element 2 is placed and fuel gas from the outside gas supply source is supplied to the part 10 through a gas pipe 11. An air flow path 15 through which cooling air flows is formed and a plurality of supporting rods 16 made of metal having fine heat conductivity such as stainless steel etc. are laid over at proper intervals.
