PURPOSE:To carry out a food processing from battering to coating with integrated process using a compact-sized apparatus, by throwing a battered food raw material into a coating material and smoothly and hygienically applying the coating material to the outer surface of the food raw material. CONSTITUTION:A feeding conveyor 33 of a preliminarily formed food raw material 28 is connected to a feeding conveyor 7 of a powdery coating material. The feeding conveyor 33 is furnished with a number of buckets each composed of a pair of openable divided units. A supporting frame 30 is provided with an opening apparatus 26 of the bucket of the feeding conveyor 33 and with apparatuses 45, 45' for feeding viscous coating material to the backet. Namely, a coating step is directly connected with a battering step. The battering of a food is carried out in high accuracy and the battered food in thrown without delay into a coating material such as bread crumb in the coating step to effect the application of the coating material to the outer surface of the food raw material. The process from battering to coating can be carried out with integrated process using a compact-sized apparatus.
