PURPOSE:To suppress the collapse of a negative electrode, by subjecting a porous metal body to the plasma spraying of a powdery of a metal capable of being electrochemically alloyed with lithium, to make a negative electrode base which supports lithium as an active material, to enhance the strength of the negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:Titanium bisulfide or the like as an active material is mixed with acetylene black and a fluorine resin binder. The mixture is shaped under pressure to make a positive electrode 4. A porous body such as a foamed nickel plate, which is made of a metal incapable of being electrochemically alloyed with lithium, is subjected to the plasma spraying of a powder of a metal such as aluminum, which is capable of being electrochemically alloyed with lithium, to make a base. The base is doped with lithium as an active material to make a negative electrode 6. The positive electrode 4 and the negative electrode 6 are combined with a separator 7, a liquid retaining layer 8 impregnated with a nonaqueous electrolytic solution and so forth, to constitute a nonaqueous secondary cell. The binding of the porous body and the powder of the metal such as aluminum is strengthened to enhance a current collection effect and suppress the collapse of the negative electrode 6. |
