PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a specific compound having the maximum absorption wavelength at a specific wavelength or above and useful as a near infrared rays absorbing material for safe light filters used in infrared- sensitive photosensitive materials, control of plant growth and shielding of heat rays, etc. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing at least one kind of compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) aryl or (substituted) heterocyclic ring; R<2> and R<5> are H or substitutive group; R<3> and R<4> are H, halogen, (substituted) alkoxy or (substituted) alkyl; R<6> and R<7> are (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) aryl, acry, sulfonyl or nonmetallic atomic group required for forming 5--6-membered ring by mutually linking R<6> and R<7>, provided that R<3> and R<4> are not H at the same time] and having the maximum absorption wavelength at >=720nm, e.g. a compound expressed by formula II, etc. |
