PURPOSE:To obtain a molded article having remarkably improved abrasion resistance, surface smoothness, etc., by coating a surface of a molded article with a composition produced by adding a specific surfactant to a mixture of a polyfunctional monomer such as poly(meth)acrylate, etc., and irradiating the coating film, thereby forming a hardened coating film on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitizer and a silicone-based surfactant of formula II (X is group of formula III; m and n are positive number; x and y are 0 or positive number satisfying the formula IV) or formula V (Y is group of formula VI or III; m, n, x and y are same as defined in formula II) are added to a mixture of (A) 30-95wt% polyfunctional monomer of formula I (three of X11, X12, X13, X22-Xn2, Xn3 and X14 are CH2=CR-COO- and the others are -OH; n is 1-5; R is H or methyl) [mono- or polypentaerythritol poly(meth)acrylate having >=3 (meth)acryloyloxy groups in one molecule] and (B) 90-5wt% monomer having 1-2 (meth)acryloyloxy groups in one molecule. The obtained mixture is applied to a surface of a molded article and irradiated with actinic radiation to form a cured film having a thickness of 1-30mu.
