PURPOSE:To determine the pulse width characteristic of an analog pattern signal by providing a variable resistor to set the full scale range of an analog picture signal and one to set the bias level of an analog pattern signal. CONSTITUTION:The bias level of the triangular wave signal is moved from a position SAW1 to that SAW4 by the variable resistor 13, and it is set there. The virtual maximum amplitude VA' of the analog picture signal VA is set by the variable resistor 3' so that it satisfies: the amplitude of {triangular wave signal SAW - (A+B)}. In such a way, the pulse width wa of black level and and that wb of white level can easily be obtained.
