PURPOSE:To correct a transient excellent in quality without any lack of coloring by using a signal generated by differentiating a color difference signal and a one generated by inversing the resulted signal, thereby improving a correcting pulse. CONSTITUTION:When a color difference signal is inputted, it is differentiated by a differentiating circuit 6 a and subjected to a pulse shaping circuit 8. Thus a signal (d) is obtained. Also, an output signal from the circuit 6 is inversed by an inverter circuit 7, and subjected to a pulse shaping circuit 9. Thus a signal (e) is obtained. These two signals (d) and (e) are respectively subjected to differential and full wave rectification circuits 10 and 11 and pulse shaping circuits 12 and 13. And thus signals (f) and (g) are obtained, which are inputted to an AND gate circuit 16 to obtain an output signal (h). An output signal (j) from the circuit 16 is supplied to a switch 3 as a controlling signal. To the input-side of the switch 3, an input color difference signal (a) is supplied, while to the output-side, a storage capacitor 4 is provided as conventionally. As a result, an output color difference signal (k) is obtained.
