METHOD FOR FILM FORMATION

PURPOSE:To make film formation by a Langmuir-Blodgett's technique by incorporating a substituent into the repeating unit of a high-polymer compd. so that the film can be formed by the Langmuir-Blodgett's technique and mixing the compd. with a known Langmuir film compd. CONSTITUTION:The high-polymer compd. is formed by contg. at least one hydrocarbon-contg. group R3 of 10-30 C which has the linear repeating unit alternately combined with at least divalent 1st org. group R1 having at least two C and divalent 2nd org. group R2 having at least two C by a divalent bond group and may contain the substituent bound by a covalent bond with the same repeating unit. The mixture composed of such high-polymer compd. and the known Langmuir-Blodgett's film compd. is formed to a built-up film by the Langmuir-Blodgett's technique. More specifically, the film formation by the Langmuir-Blodgett's technique is made possible by modifying the high- polymer compd. which is difficult to be made into the film by said technique.
