<p>An apparatus for separation by density, consisting of a trough 1 with dense liquor on the side of which is fitted a wheel 2 arranged obliquely, the said wheel being provided with lifter blades for the immersed products, while the floating products are removed at the surface of the liquid. To avoid having to size the wheel as a function of the peak flow rates, the latter is driven in rotation by a variable speed motor means 6 and means 9, 10 are provided to vary the speed of the wheel as a function of its load. <IMAGE></p> |
