PURPOSE:To obtain an economical and reliable transmission line where an information source consists of only a passive element by sending out a pulse signal with pulse width smaller than double as wide as the time of a one-way signal between adjacent sections of a return loop line on a transmission and reception line, inputting part of signal power from the transmission line through a branching circuit, and setting the signal transmissivity of a branching device and a coupling device to a proper value. CONSTITUTION:The signal transmissivity hn-i of transmission lines 1 and 2, branching and coupling circuits 51 and 61, etc., are selected as shown by an equation (alpha: effective transmissivity) and the width of a pulse sent out from a pulse generator 7 is set to <=2s/v, thereby equalizing received pulses in intervals and level. The interval between the transmission line and reception line, however, is set to certain minimum distance S determined by the signal propagation speed V of the lines. Consequently, information signals from respective information sources 91-9n reach a scanning circuit 11 at a reception terminal on a time-division basis. A clock signal synchronized with the received pulse train is supplied from a clock signal generating circuit 10 and respective frame signals are separated and inputted to demodulation circuits 121-12n.
