PURPOSE:To obtain a conveying device suitable for conveying powder such as refractory powder or the like in a relatively short time, by providing two cores between which a conveying passage for powder coated with magnetic powder is laid, and by providing several magnetic force generating coils which are connected with each other in series, to one of the cores. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase power source 1 is connected through a power source switch 2 to the input side of a slide resistor 3 as a voltage regulator whose output is connected to a powder conveying mechanism 7 through lead wires 4a-4c and a terminal board 5 and several lead wires 6. The powder conveying mechanism 7 defines a powder passage 12 between inner and outer cores 10, 11 made of silicon steel plates or the like and along these cores 10, 11, and a powder charging hopper 13 is connected to one end of the passage 12. Further, several magnetic force generating coils 14 connected with each other in series are wound on the outer core 11. Powder to be conveyed in the above-mentioned conveying passage 12 is coated on its outer surface with magnetic powder such as iron, nickel, cobalt or the like, or the alloy thereof.
